I just did a make world/make kernel last night and I'm experiencing
exactly the same problem. My cdrom dir after the mount looks
like this:

-r-xr-xr-x 1 root wheel 0 Dec 31 1969 /cdrom*

Look at the date! (My system date IS correct)

mount shows:

/dev/acd1c on /cdrom (cd9660, local, read-only, reads: sync 3 async 0)

The system log has this entry:

Aug 23 19:48:32 gravy /kernel: cd9660: RockRidge Extension
Aug 23 19:48:35 gravy /kernel: RRIP without PX field?
